Our Mission The American Red Cross, a humanitarian organization led by volunteers, will provide relief to victims of disasters and help people prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies.
As members of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, the American Red Cross and other national societies have a key role in upholding and abiding by the seven Fundamental Principles:
Humanity Impartiality Neutrality Independence Voluntary Service Unity Universality
Locally, the Red Cross provides relief to the victims of more than 200 disasters each year, provides more than 1,800 individual services to our military service men and women and their families, and trains nearly 12,000 individuals in lifesaving skills.
